Finolex Cables Appoints Independent Directors
The Board of Directors of Finolex Cables Limited has appointed Pravin Ahire as an Additional Director in the category of Executive Director, and the Board has also appoints Lipi Todi, Anoop Krishna, and Sanjay Mathur as Non-Executive Independent Directors. All the appointments are with effect from October 14, 2024, and are subject to the approval of shareholders.
Pravin Ahire, Senior Vice President, Works, aged 49, has been with Finolex for the past 15 years, bringing over 25 years of industry experience. Before joining Finolex, he worked with Sterlite in Silvassa (UT of D&NH) as Unit Operations Head and with Gujarat Telephone Cables Pvt. Ltd. as Senior Process Engineer. His exceptional contributions to the organisation have earned him multiple Star Performance awards.
Lipi Todi is a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with over 13 years of experience. She is currently with Elkem, a Norwegian group, where she serves as Company Secretary and Manager of Finance for Elkem South Asia Pvt. Ltd., the Indian entity. Lipi is also a member of the POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) committee. She began her career with the IFB Group.
Anoop Krishna, 66, brings more than 42 years of experience in the financial sector. A graduate with honours in humanities, he holds various executive management qualifications, including being a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). He started his career as a Probationary Officer with the State Bank of India (SBI). After retirement, he joined Paisalo Digital Ltd., a mid-sized NBFC, as Executive Director. He played a pivotal role in forming partnerships with six PSU banks, including SBI, for the co-lending model with Paisalo Digital Ltd. Anoop also worked with Grant Thornton (GT) as a Senior Advisor in Mumbai and has been associated with Luthra & Luthra.
Sanjay Mathur, 60, is a seasoned business leader with over 34 years of executive experience, including 19 years in board-level roles across oil & gas, chemicals, and FMCG sectors. His qualifications include a Master of Marketing (Retail & Wholesale) from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia; a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering & Technology from Panjab University, India; a Diploma in Financial Management (Dip FM) from ACCA, U.K.; an Advanced Management Programme from Melbourne Business School, Australia; and a Certificate in Artificial Intelligence (AI) – Strategies for Leading Business Transformation from Northwestern Kellogg University, USA (2020). Sanjay served as Managing Director at Vesuvius – Foseco Group, a public company, for 14 years and was also associated with Shell International Petroleum Group as Managing Director of Pennzoil Quaker State India Ltd. He is a Life Member of the Institute of Directors, a Member of the CEO Forum at CII (Confederation of Indian Industry), an Ex-President of the Great Die Casting Technology Forum (GDCTECH), and a Former Member of the Rotary Club, Pune Downtown.
