Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh Appointed as SBI Managing Director

Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh has been appointed as Managing Director (MD) of the State Bank of India (SBI). He will be leading the risk compliance and stressed assets resolution group (SARG).

According to the source, Mumbai Circle’s former Chief General Manager Gajendra Singh Rana has replaced Rana AK Singh as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of retail and real estate.

Last week, CS Setty was appointed as SBI’s Chairman by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for a term of three years after Dinesh Khara’s retirement on August 28.

Additionally, the ACC approved Singh’s promotion to MD. Singh’s current term expires on June 30, 2027, at which point he will retire.
